2016 CIRCLE OF ACHIEVERS DINNER

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the ASPIRAS’s 2016 annual Corporate Latino Achievers gala event, Building on 55 Years of investing in Latino Youth,” on Thursday, April 28, 2016, which will take place at ESpace -- located at 635 West 42nd Street, in New York, NY -- from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.  This year marks ASPIRA’s 55th anniversary.  The occasion promises to be an inspiring night focused on recognizing corporate achievers, and I am hoping that among them will be one of your own.

ASPIRA, which means “to aspire,” was founded by Dr. Antonia Pantoja in New York City and has grown from a local organization to the nation’s largest Latino nonprofit dedicated to educating and developing the next generation of Latino leaders. At the Circle of Latino Achievers gala, we will celebrate ASPIRA of New York’s extraordinary success in providing more than 500,000 young people the tools they need to learn, grow and achieve.

One of our top honors, the Corporate Leadership Award, is going to Maria Winans, Vice President for IBM Small Business Category and Industry Cloud Solutions Marketing.  For the past 25 years, Maria has achieved several positions at IBM and now serves as a global executive who is an exemplary role model to young people everywhere.  She will be part of an exciting program which will also celebrate the successes of ASPIRA students pursuing a higher education, who will be awarded with college scholarships.  We are also honoring Angy Paola Rivera -- columnist for “Ask Angy,” an award winning undocumented immigrant advice column published in several print and digital outlets -- with the 2016 Aspirante Achievement Award.  Finally, we are also honoring Manny Vega, a revered painter, printmaker, muralist, illustrator, costume and set designer, as well as, a mosaic fabricator.  In the winter of 2015, Manny created a marvelous mural of Aspira founder, Dra. Antonia Pantoja, which the public can view at the Corsi Senior Center on East 116th Street, in the heart of Spanish Harlem, where Aspira began.

We hope you will join us in supporting ASPIRA of New York. Attached you will find a list of sponsorship opportunities for the Gala. We would truly appreciate you championing this grand event, which will help raise funds for scholarships and programming that will positively impact the lives of students and their families.
